Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another will all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."
I came home today, and I immediately dropped my bag as I walked in the door and sat in my chair. I love my chair. I love my home. It is my place of comfort. It is my dwelling place. That word dwell means to live or to stay as a permanent resident. When I read this Scripture, I understand how important it is for me, a Christ follower, to study God's Word and to actually allow it to dwell in me...to live in me and to take residence in my heart permanently. I encourage you to dig into God's Word. Allow it to dwell in your heart and your mind, and you will be an encouragement to others. And best of all, your life will overflow with gratitude! Don't you think our world could use a little more gratitude?
