Be still and know…

"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."  Psalm 46:10

Yesterday morning I walked outside and was overwhelmed by the beautiful sunrise that was taking place.  I looked through the trees and stood speechless, as the reflected sunlight danced across my pond.  I stood there for several minutes, quiet and still, soaking up God's awesome creation.  It reminded me of that well-known passage in Psalm 46:10 that states, "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations.  I will be exalted in the earth."  Sometimes I get way too busy and move way too fast.  Yesterday morning God gave me the opportunity...to stop...to be quiet...to be still...to know.  And right there on the edge of my pond in the morning sunlight, I exalted God!  Have you had an opportunity lately to be still and know?

I too have a pond and love looking at the beautiful sunsets and think the Lord must be an artist! I'm in awe that he made it for us to enjoy! I don't always stop and see the little things as my life is so hectic but I have made a point this year to look for God's masterpieces daily. They come in many shapes like
the beautiful cardinal that visits my bird feeder or the sweet smiles of my granddaughters! I want to appreciate the little things time passes so fast! Thanks for your devo I enjoy reading them!
