Worship the Father…

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."  John 4:23

A few years ago Phillips, Craig, & Dean released the song, "Let the Worshipers Arise."  Every time I hear that song, I think of this passage in John 4:23-34.  "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."  Jesus reminded His followers that worshiping the Father was important.  It was so important that the Father was seeking for worshipers that worshiped Him in the Spirit and in truth.  It didn't matter about the location of worship.  What mattered was the heart of worship.  This song, "Let the Worshipers Arise," was a song that I would sing in my truck, in my office, in my home, and even as I was running at six o'clock in the morning along an empty highway.  It didn't matter where I was; what mattered is that I was singing to my Father.  I was worshiping my Father who desired my worship.  Today is a day of corporate worship.  Today is a day where we will gather at the church houses and worship in the Spirit and in truth.  But it's not the church houses that makes our worship pleasing to the Father.  It's our hearts that will make worship pleasing to the Father, if we will worship in the Spirit and in truth.  He is seeking those who will truly worship Him today.  Are you ready to bring worship with you to the church house?  Are you ready to worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth?

I would love to hear your comments...
