"Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free." Proverbs 11:21
As I sat in my office yesterday and watched the news about the bombings in Boston, I was angry, hurt, and confused. I saw pictures of the little boy and the young woman who were killed and pictures of those who were injured. So much pain and terror came in the blink of an eye. Why would anyone do something like this? Whoever did this wicked thing will not go unpunished! How do I know this? Well, I'll use a quote from the song we used to sing when we were kids, "Jesus Loves Me": the Bible tells me so. If we can believe the parts of the Bible that tell us we can have forgiveness, that we can have salvation, that we can have the love of Jesus, or that we can have life fully, then we can believe the part that says, "The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free." You can "be sure of this!" Pray for Boston.
