"And they only heard the report: 'The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.' And they praised God because of me." Galatians 1:23-24
Saul was a persecutor of Christians. He did everything he could do to disrupt Jesus' disciples work in sharing the faith. Acts 7:3 says, "But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison." That is who Saul WAS. But then Jesus came into his life, and Saul changed! Saul became Paul. But more importantly, he became a man of God who glorified God. In his letter to the Galatians, we find out that people were praising God because of Paul's new life. What a description of man! It got me to thinking about my own life as a Christ follower??? Am I doing what I am doing so that people will praise God or am I doing it to feel better about myself or to have people praise me? My prayer is that I never fall into that trap, that sin. My prayer is that I will live a life of glory and honor to God and that people will praise Him because of me. That is my prayer for you. I pray that you will follow God's will for your life and that you will choose to honor Him in all that you say and do. I pray that people will see your life lived out loud and praise God because of you!
