A Full Life

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full."   John 10:10

I think if you ask anyone what kind of life they would like to have, they would tell you that they want a full one.  What does a "full" life mean?  To some a full life might mean a long life.  To some it might mean having a lot of possessions.  To others it might mean having a large family or lots of friends.  However, we need to listen to all the words that Jesus spoke in John 10:10.  Remember, the thief comes to "steal and kill and destroy."  Possessions and years and family and friends can all be taken away.  Then Jesus says, "I have come so that  they may have life and have it to the full."  Life isn't merely existence.  Life is so much more than existing.  Life that Jesus gives is eternal and full.  It is more than possessions, more than years, more than family, and more than friends.  It is complete joy!  Sure, we could have some or all of those things, but those things are blessings in life, not life itself.  We can know that God calls us His children, know that we have purpose, and know that we live forever!  We shouldn't be trying to pack unpromised years into our lives; we should be packing the promised life into our years!  Do you want a full life?  The only way to do that is through a personal relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ.  Trust in Him today:)

I would love to hear your comments...
