"I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." Psalm 18:1-2
Many times throughout my life, my own strength has failed me. Many times it seems as though I am not as strong as I imagined I was. Each and everyday, I am reminded of how weak I am when I try to accomplish things on my own. In the book of James, I find that my life is just a "mist." I find that I am not in control of my days. I am a mere human. But in the book of Psalms, I find that God is in control of my days. I find that God is the strength of my life. And God's strength will never fade or diminish! Today, I cry out as David did when Saul was chasing him. "I love you, Lord, my strength." You are my strength! In Psalm 18:32, David says, "It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure." I thank God for His presence in my life! Do you need strength today? Do you want security? It won't come from yourself or even your friends. It will come from God and God alone. Cry out to Him. He will come to you. He will be your rock, your fortress, your deliverer. He will be your shield, your stronghold.
