Praying for each other…

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.  Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."   Ephesians 6:18-20

Paul understood the power of prayer.  He understood the responsibility he had to pray for others, and he understood that others' prayers for him were equally important, too.  In Ephesians 6:10-17, Paul told the Ephesian Church to put on the "full armor of God."  And he followed that with verse 18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests."  Prayer is what holds the full armor of God in place as we battle against the devil and his schemes daily.  Prayer is essential in the life of the believer, both the prayers he/she prays and the prayers prayed on behalf of him/her.

Embrace your responsibility in prayer as a believer today!  Thank God for those who pray for you today!  Pray for your pastors, your leaders, and your teachers today.  Pray that God would overwhelm them with His Spirit so they would "fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel" today!

I would love to hear your comments...
