A cheerful heart…

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."   Proverb 17:22

The weekend is here, and for most of us, the workweek has come to an end.  Does that mean the stress ends with it?  Many families today are feeling the stress of financial pressure, the stress of school pressure, and the stress of work pressure, and it lasts seven days a week and twenty-four hours a day!  We are allowing the stress to steal everything good in our lives...like our laughter and fun.  Proverbs 17:22 says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."  We need to laugh this weekend.  We need to laugh at each other and with each other.  I am not saying that our stress and our pressures will just go away.  However, I believe that God is in control.  I believe in prayer.  And I believe in cheerful heats and laughter.  Cheerful hearts may be just what our families need to get through our stress and our pressures.  Or we can just continue being stressed out and pressured with  crushed spirits that dry up the bones.  The choice is ours to make.  I don't know about you, but I think I will try the medicine that comes from a cheerful heart:)

I would love to hear your comments...
