"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with ONE MIND and ONE VOICE you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:-5-6
I thank God for 2013. As I look back on this past year, I see how God was with me and my family every step of the way. He never left us. He blessed us in so many ways. One of the blessings from 2013 that I am most thankful for is His Word. If I had to choose one passage of Scripture that really impacted me the most, it would be Romans 15:5-6. As a matter of fact, this Scripture became our theme at Start Baptist Church for the 2013-2014 church year. "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with ONE MIND and ONE VOICE you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Can you imagine what our homes and our churches and our communities would be like if we became ONE MIND and ONE VOICE? Can you imagine what it would be like if our attitudes toward each other were the same as Jesus' attitude toward us? As we thank God for the 2013 year and as we pray for and look forward to the 2014 year, let's aim to glorify God in all that we say and do. As Christ followers, let's aim to be ONE MIND and ONE VOICE as we serve God and serve others around us.
I would love to know what passage of Scripture impacted you the most this past year. Please feel free to share the Scripture and the way it encouraged you below. Enjoy the rest of this day (the rest of this year). And Happy New Year! May God not only bless you and your family in 2014, but may you also be a blessing in 2014!
