I just finished a really good book by Craig Groeschel. Fight: Winning the Battles That Matter Most is one of the best books I've read in quite a while. It is definitely geared toward men, but everyone can relate. It is based on the life of Samson, his ups and downs. And Groeschel really speaks to men about the day-to-day struggles that temptation and sin bring. We have to fight for righteousness, and God gives us the tools to use in our fight. We just have to decide to fight! Men, go pick up a copy. You'll be glad you did.
Another book that I am only two chapters into but am loving is gods at War by Kyle Idleman. You may recognize his name; he wrote Not a Fan (another great book). In this book, Idleman makes us aware of the false gods at war within each of us. Idolatry IS the issue! We have placed many idols before the one true God, and we are reaping the consequences of our actions. Like I said, I am only two chapters into this one, but it is really hitting me hard. I'll let you know when I finish what I think about it, but I believe this one will go on my "must-read" list.
If you are reading a book or just finished one that you have really enjoyed, let me know about it. I love to read and to learn. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!!!
