Perfect Peace

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.  Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal."   Isaiah 26:3-4

There are days when I need to be reminded about God's peace.  Sometimes life doesn't turn out the way I expect it to or want it to, and my peace flies out the window.  I allow the winds and storms of life to shake me.  What I find in those days is that I wasn't truly relying on the peace of God...instead I was relying on the peace of man.  I was relying on my peace.  There is a BIG difference in the peace of man and the peace of God!  The peace of man is superficial and circumstantial at best, very inconsistent.  However, the peace of God is true, deep, and constant.  Isaiah 26:3-4 says, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.  Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal."  Those words remind me that my complete trust in God brings me the peace of God.  God's peace is a result of the trust that I place in Him each and every day.  His peace is perfect peace, too.  Paul says in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  God's peace actually guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.  He is my Rock eternal!  I trust Him with my life, and I am filled with His perfect peace, His perfect peace that transcends my human understanding.  If you need His perfect peace today, trust Him with your life.  He won't let you down!!!

    Thanks Bro. Jeff!
There is rest in the peace of God. I do trust my life to the Father, but more than that I trust my family in His hands. Keep speaking God's Word and God bless you and your family.

    A brother in Jesus Christ,
    Charles Hendrix
