The Strength of the Lord

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."   Isaiah 40:29-31

We are a busy, busy people today.  It seems like we have so much to do and so little time to do it in.  Children are exhausted from school studies and activities.  Parents are exhausted from working long hours at their jobs.  Exhaustion is impacting everyone these days.  We put our trust in so many people and places.  We put our trust in out jobs, in our schools, in our government, and even in ourselves.  Maybe that is why we are exhausted...physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.  God's Word tells us to put our trust in Him and in Him alone.  His Word tells us that when we put our trust in Him, He will give us His strength.  He gives us His strength to help us in our daily walks...in our jobs, in our schools, in our relationships.  Isaiah says that the strength God gives us is not based on age; instead, it is based on trust and hope.  Isaiah says that the strength God gives us is compared to the strength of the eagle that soars effortlessly through the clouds.  He says that we can "run and not grow weary" and "walk and not be faint."  I don't know how exhausted you are right now.  I don't know from where your exhaustion stems...your job, your school, your relationships.  However, I do know this: God will give you the strength and the power to overcome your exhaustion.  God will give you His power and His strength when you put your trust and your hope in Him...in Him alone.  Today, you don't have to live in exhaustion.  You can live in the strength of the Lord!!!  Believe it!!!  Claim it!!!

I would love to hear your comments...
