A Prayer for You

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family derives its name.  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that passes knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is working within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen."   Ephesians 3:14-21

 

I love Wednesday night services at my church!  I love studying God's Word, and I love praying for others who have needs.  Over the past couple of weeks, I have had several people call and ask me to pray for them...to pray for their families...to pray for their jobs...to pray for their health.  What an awesome blessing and responsibility we have as Christ followers to pray for one another!  What an awesome blessing and encouragement it is to know that people are praying for you when you need it!  Intercessory prayer is vital for the Christ follower.  In John 17, Jesus prayed for His disciples and for all believers.  He interceded for them to the Father.  In Romans 8:34, we see that Jesus continues to intercede for us to the Father.  Paul interceded for the churches, as well.  I love Paul's prayer for the church at Ephesus in Ephesians 3:14-21.  He prayed for the power of God and the love of God and the Spirit of God to flow through their hearts and minds.  Paul wanted them to know the love of Christ completely, and he wanted them to glorify God.  Today, if you are reading this, please accept this prayer.  It is a prayer for you!  May God strengthen you with His strength.  May God overwhelm you with His love.  May your faith be increased today by the power of the Holy Spirit within you.  May you know the love of Christ fully today.  May your life be an honor and a glory to God the Father through Jesus Christ.  Amen!
