Words From the Heart…

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."   Psalm 19:14

What if the words you said today were on the cover of every newspaper, every internet site, ever radio station, and every billboard in the world?  Would your words be pleasing to God?  Would your words be encouraging and build others up for the glory of God, or would your words be the arrows that bring heartache and turmoil and death to the one who reads them or hears them?  Would your words be pleasing to God?  You have a choice today to speak life into anyone and everyone who hears your words.  You have a choice today to build others up and bring glory to God.  You have a choice to speak or to be silent.  You have a choice.  The Bible tells us clearly that our hearts and our words are closely related.  As a matter of fact, Jesus said in Matthew 12:34, "For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks."  Jesus says in Matthew 15:18, "But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart."  Maybe that is why David prayed in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."  Maybe David wanted to speak words of life rather than words of death.  God tells Ezekiel that He will remove the heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh for those who believe in Him and trust in Him.  If you have a problem with the words that come out of your mouth, then you actually have a problem with your heart.  You can choose today to give your heart to God.  You can choose today to receive a heart of flesh, a heart from God.  Once your heart is right, your words will be right.  The words you speak today are words from the heart.  Will they be words from a heart changed and loved by God, or will they be words dominated by a heart of stone and sin?  You have a choice...

I would love to hear your comments...
