Thank You, Dad…

"Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding."   Proverbs 4:1

On May 29, 1989, my dad passed away of a massive heart attack.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of my dad.  He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father.  He loved my mom, and he loved me and my brothers.  We never doubted his love for us.  I am thankful that he was a Christ follower.  I know where he is today, and I know that I will see him again one day.  Thank you, dad, for everything you did for us...for you love and for your instructions and for you guidance in our lives.  We love and miss you.

Jeff, your Dad was a good friend of mine. We done a lot of things together. We both had card collections that we shared together. I will never forget when he got into it big and filled up a house with all kinds of cards, etc. We spent a lot of time looking and re-living the past. He was a Dodger fan and I was a Yankee fan. Back in those days, I don't think they were friendly foes. Lol. I will always thank your Mother and Dad for naming me and Mama the God parents of John Daniel. I don't know if you knew but I am the one who asked your Dad to help me coach the Start Dixie Boys 13-15. I know your Dad is proud of you boys, who have grown up to be God fearing men who loves the Lord. I am so thankful that I had the time that I had with your Dad. I will see him again. God bless you and your family.

    Love you Brother

Yes, Jeff. You boys had a wonderful dad; he was my brother, and I love and miss him too. Steve loved his Uncle John, but they are together waiting on us to join them one day.
    Love, Aunt Alice
